Journey Towards
Inner Peace
Welcome, I’m Alison, a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist offering therapy in North London, Brixton and online across the UK.

Life can be challenging and bring up difficult emotions. You may be navigating a major life event that feels overwhelming or hard to manage . Whether you're feeling overloaded, anxious, stuck, or looking to explore more of yourself you're in the right place. I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore what’s on your mind at your own pace — without pressure or judgment.
My approach is integrative, which means I tailor our work to suit you as a unique person, not just a set of symptoms. Whatever it is you are facing, collaboratively, we can begin making space for change, clarity and empowerment.

Ways of working
As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist I draw on different modalities to suit each client's needs. Rooted in Person-centred therapy, I believe you are the expert of your experience. I also work psychodynamically, exploring how unconscious patterns and early childhood experiences may be shaping your present. I incorporate somatic techniques to help you regulate your nervous system restoring inner balance. Where appropriate I can incorporate other interventions such as Art Therapy, CBT, ACT and Transactional Analysis.

Individual Therapy
I work 1-1 with adult clients. The individual therapy sessions are designed to address your specific concerns and help you navigate life's challenges. I have worked with people from all walks of life with a wide range of issues.
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and I abide by their ethical principles. You can find me listed as one of their registered members at www.bacp.co.uk

I attend regular supervision to keep my practice safe and ethical.

I understand that therapy is a meaningful act of self-care, but it can also feel like a financial commitment. I'm happy to discuss options that make therapy more accessible for you. I offer a limited number of concessionary spaces for students, pensioners, NHS workers and those on lower incomes.
My Approach
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is fundamental to my therapy practice. I prioritise privacy and trust, ensuring that your personal information and sessions remain completely confidential. The exception to this would be if there were any risk of harm to yourself or others. More information on this is included in my therapy contract.
Empathy
Empathy is at the heart of my therapeutic approach. I provide a compassionate and understanding environment where you can feel heard, validated, and supported throughout your healing journey.
Personalised Care
I believe in offering personalised care to every client. My tailored therapy sessions focus on your unique needs and goals, allowing for a bespoke therapeutic experience.
Testimonials
I felt very lucky to have Alison as my therapist. I was very hesistant and resistent initially to speaking about my feelings. She was patient and kind which helped me to feel at ease to open up.

Alison really listens and has a genuineness about her. Our sessions supported me through one of the darkest moments of my life where I felt I that nobody understood. I am very grateful for her.

I really looked forward to having our sessions every week and was very dispondent when the sessions came to an end. I could trust Alison with some of my deepest emotions. She was compassionate and allowed me to be as vulnerable as I needed to be.

FAQs
What happens during a counselling session?
The therapy space is entirely yours to use as you wish. I aim to create a space that feels safe enough to bring the issues that are on your mind and for you to feel comfortable enough to bring all aspects of yourself. I draw on techniques from various modalities. Some of these interventions might include art therapy, psychodynamic techniques and somatic work to encourage nervous system regulation.
How do I know if counselling is right for me?
I believe that counselling can be for everyone. There is no issue considered 'too small' or 'too big' to bring to the therapeutic space. Some people come to therapy after experiencing a life event whilst others might want to explore more of themselves uncovering hidden aspects for personal growth. Whatever motivates you to seek therapy there is no wrong or right way to go about it. In our initial session we will explore your reasons for seeking therapy and any questions you have about the therapy process.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no specific set amount of sessions. Therapy can be time limited or open ended according to your needs.
